DAGGER

In the Beginning

You might say that DAGGER rose from the ashes of another once successful clan. The Tribunal clan was another well respected clan that came to an end some years back. As Tribunal started to come apart, a handful of the members decided that it was time to move on and start a new clan, an even more successful clan that would eventually gain great popularity and be more known as a highly respected group of friends.

Like Tribunal, Counter Strike Source was the game of choice for DAGGER too. It was played in Terrorist vs. Counter Strike team manner. "T" sets or trys to set the bomb and CS defuses or trys to difuse it. "T" holds the hostages, while CS trys to rescue them. Fun, no doubt, but no one knew just what the future had in store. The clan played in this manner for sometime, always expanding the available maps, and other options that were available for the servers. DAGGERS servers were always populated and although the clan was just a fraction of what it would become, the members knew that it was something special.


GUN GAME

The introduction of gun game was something that sparked a popularity that hadn't been seen before. Not only to CS:S but also the DAGGER clan.
GunGame? is a style of play in Counter Strike Source. It involves going through and getting "kills" using each gun that is available in the game. After a kill is obtained using the weapon you are holding, you then move on to the next weapon in line. If you are the first one to get a kill with every weapon available, you are the winner of that particular game. Of course there are many variables to the game and we could sit here all day while explaining it, but this page is about the DAGGER Clan. Just know that this game has really put this Clan and its servers on the map when it comes to CSS.



As said before, this clan started as a small group of friends. A small group that has grown into a large group of friends. Getting together on a Friday or Saturday night has always been more important than who had the better stats. Recruiting good quality people has always taken a priority over recruiting quality players. Sure DAGGER has some top notch players, but they are not part of the family for that reason. DAGGER has grown alot over the years. It has grown in size, it has grown in popularity, and it has grown up. Like any family, the clan has had it's share of hard times. Hard times are there to let you know how strong you are and how strong the people you surround yourself with are as well. The very fact that I am sitting here writing this Wiki, tells you how strong these fine folks are.

Although this page will get around to introducing you to the members of this clan, I would like to take the time to say a few things about the heart and soul of DAGGER. These next few people have been the ones to get this clan going. They were all apart of the move from Tribunal and are still here with us to this day. Although there are many people on the present day roster that make the DAGGER servers the place to play, these are the ones who got it started. Without them, none of this would have happend.

Let us start at the top. The top of the clan I guess you could say. Frink. Once Tribunal Frink and now DAGGER Frink. This is the man who got DAGGER off the ground, and boy did he ever. Not only did it get off the ground, but it took off. Frink has put in more hours to this clan and to its servers than anyone will ever know. His level of devotion to these people he calls friends is unmatched. Frink has been the leader of this clan since day one. He is the one who introduced the clan to GunGame? as well. Get to know him a little better in the player bios. Of course one man can't do it all. He has to surround himself with good people, and Frink did just that.

Zander. A man of high standards. A man of patience. Zander tends to be the clans center, whether he knows it or not. A voice of reason. When he talks people will surely listen to what he has to say. Some good ribbing goes towards him for being one of the "elder" members, but he takes it all in stride. Zander has also dedicated alot of time to running these servers. A constant "policeman" of the servers too. He keeps the hackers and offensive players at bay. He keeps the servers a clean, fun place for all players to play. His input is valued greatly too when it comes to maintaining the servers. A one of a kind man, for a one of a kind clan.

Sarge. He is the clans John Wayne. He doesn't always have alot to say, but his presence is always felt. Sarge is a key component to keeping the servers running smoothly. With his background in computers, he almost always has a solution to the day to day problems with running these servers. Sarge is a tell it like it is type of guy too. He won't kiss your butt to make you like him. He doesn't have to. After talking with Sarge, whether via teamspeak, in game, or even just through posts on the forum, you can't help but like him. Sarge is another "policeman" of the servers. Keeping them clean for all.

These three men have devoted more hours to this clan than they probably wish to admit. Without them DAGGER would only be an afterthought.

Games history: Been playing video games since the ripe old age of 3, we had a sega genesis in my dads room at his parents house Sonic and Knuckles quickly became my favorite game, mainly due to my unnatural obsession with the echidna. At 6 a Sony playstation was purchased, and used frequently, early favorites included battle arena toshendin and twisted metal. Other notables, tomb raider, resident evil. Nintendo 64 was used for the sole purpose of Goldeneye and Super smash bros. I have since owned all major video game consoles, with the exception of the Wii and have enjoyed all they have to offer, so far in my expert opinion the 360 would be my favorite system so far. it introduced me to the concept of online gaming which eventually led to PC gaming and counter strike.

Clan History: Started playing hl2dm on Aurigus 2fort regularly in febuary of 05, accepted into Tribunal Clan in june of that year. in august of the year i was promoted to high council of tribunal. Distinction i had was that for the first year of playing hl2 and cstrike was that i would play on my laptop using the touchpad and not sucking. eventually tribunal broke up, dagger was formed, i signed up and havent looked back.

Yes, as my screen name implies, I have 6 grandkids from a daughter and a son. I’ve been married for 32 years (to the same woman).

I love to hunt, shoot, fish, boat, hike, ride my bikes, work with my hands, and just being with people (till I need the other end, alone time). I work up and down the east coast of the USA near the water.

I’m a member of a Motorcycle Club, can’t talk about it though…

Loved computers since the beginning (yes Atari, commodore 64, than 128 than DX 50, you got the idea). Love all kinds of games, shooting, first person, driving, hunting, but mostly CSS (even if I’m not that good). And yes I’ve had all the game systems. Still have 3 PCs, Wii, and playstation (handhelds don’t count, psp).

Work: Mostly study, but work on week-ends at reusable matter depot (sorry its the best translation I could do) Basicaly its a depot where people come to dump different kinds of matters like wood, metal, hard cement, non-reusable matters(plastic, cloths,styro-foam,etc.) Don't get mistaken its not a recycling centre, its outdoors and most of the matters are reused in a way, even the non reusable plays a part in keeping in methane gas at the dump so that they can use it to make electricity.


About me: I'm a bilingual French Canadian, I went to English school for 3-4years when I was young. I've studied to be a television/movie technician ( lighting, decros, sound, editing) but with the changes since last 2 years the work went to the west, like Toronto and British-Columbia?, so I decided to give school one last chance and start a certificate(university) in publicity where I will specialized in some of the many domains in publicity. After almost 10 years of post high school studying I'm kind of tired of school but hey I'm a patient man if it doesn't work I'll go back to work in a workshop of some kind...

I also work with a bunch of French guys on a php based game, I'm great at managing stuff and people, so before fall 2009 we should release a beta of the game.

I hope that some day I will be able to use my managerial skills in my job and not for free :P

I have a great knowledge of movies,television series that I have watched, and there is a lot :P I a car adept, I bicycle with my giant defy 3 when I have spare time, at least 4 times a week depending on the whether.
